Step by Step

To use the Getnet WooCommerce plugin in your WooCommerce system, you must:

  • Install and configure the plugin in the Wordpress admin site.
  • Configure the success, error, and webhook URLs in the Merchant Portal.
  • The success and error URLs define where in your web store the customer is redirected to after completing their payment, and the webhook URL defines where Getnet sends webhook notifications containing payment status updates.

To use the plugin, make sure the following requirements are met:

  • Getnet WooCommerce plugin (shared by your Getnet Agent)
  • Operate within the WooCommerce platform of Wordpress
  • Access to the Wordpress admin site
  • Access to the Merchant Portal (credentials shared by your Getnet Agent)
  • Getnet credentials (Client ID and Client Secret)

Configuring the plugin in the Getnet Merchant Portal

To configure the success, error, and webhook URLs in the Merchant Portal:

  1. Log in to the Merchant Portal and navigate to the Checkout configuration page.
  2. In the Choose the screen after a transaction section, apply the following suffixes to the base URL of your web store for the success and error URLs:
    • Success URL:
<URL>/mi-cuenta/orders/
  • Error URL:
<URL>/carrito/

For example, if the base URL of your web store is https://getnettest.com, set the success and error URLs as shown in the following image.

  1. In the Set up your notifications section, apply the following suffix to the base URL of your web store for the webhook URL and define a username and password:
<URL>/?wc-api=getnet

For example, if the base URL of your web store is https://getnettest.com, set the webhook URL and define a username and password for it as shown in the following image.

  1. Add the webhook username and password to your plugin settings in Wordpress. To do this, follow steps 2 – 4 of the next section, setting the values of the WebHook user and WebHook password fields to the username and password respectively.
